Team Aisling will join in the St. Patrick's Day parade behind our very own Chaplain, Fr. Brendan Fitzgerald, who will lead the parade as the Grand Marshall. Please come along and join us! The parade will be held on Saturday March 18th 2023 at 1pm "rain or shine" 2023 Grand Marshall, Fr. Brendan Fitzgerald Fr. Fitzgerald was born in Rockaway, NY, the son of Irish immigrants from County Kerry. He attended Maynooth Seminary in Kildare and in his pastoral year, he served St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta. He was ordained in 2000 in Limerick and after serving for five years as a priest in Ireland, he returned to the U.S. in 2006. He is currently the pastor of St. Barnabas Church (Bronx, NY) a strong Irish-American parish in the Woodlawn-McLean Avenue area, and also serves as the Dean of the North East Bronx at the appointment of Cardinal Timothy Dolan.…

All proceeds will benefit the Homeless Program at the Aisling Center for which Phil was a huge advocate. Our next Team Aisling Hike will be Sunday, June 4th in Harriman State Park. This is a fabulous 7.4 mile hike with no time to be bored. We’ll meet at the Elk Pen parking lot at 7:45am sharp. For directions, you can enter Elk Pen Parking Lot in to Waze or Google Maps. Free registration via Eventbrite is necessary. Minnewaska State Park Hike

Minnewaska State Park 52-81 Route 44-55, Kerhonkson, NY

Castle Point & Rainbow Falls in Minnewaska State Park is a great hike if you're looking for something that offers stunning views and beautiful rock formations. It would be impossible to see all of Minnewaska’s beautiful spots in one day. Castle Point has amazing views of the Catskills. Round trip, the hike is approximately 7.5 miles with a good mix of trails & carriage roads. There will be an optional lunch afterwards at Maggie Mae's, 215 Huguenot Street, New Paltz. Owners are from Donegal & Galway. NOTE: There's a $10 charge per car to enter Minnewaska State Park & they accept the Empire Pass.

Storm King Mt. Sunrise Hike

To celebrate our 12 month anniversary of hikes, our December Hike will be a Sunrise Hike at Storm King. Of course, this will be weather dependent. As a bonus, this is one of those hikes that starts you halfway up the hill, so you get more view than you actually earn. As this is a sunrise hike, we'll get those bonus views on the way down!! This is not to say that this is an easy hike. There are a couple of very steep stretches here, including a place toward the beginning that requires a little bit of rock scrambling. This is one of the BEST sunrise hikes in the Hudson Valley. Along with an amazing sunrise, we'll get fantastic views of Newburgh Bay, Bannerman's Castle, the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, the Catskills in the distance and the eastern Hudson Highlands across the river.
